About Nicole

Hey there, I’m Nicole. Potter, maker, nature lover, homebody, over thinker and owner of Nicole Is Nicole Ceramics. I guess if you have landed on this page that means you want to know a little more about me, right? Eek…

I’m a muddy creative who started making pottery back in 2016 when my husband and I found our way to the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia.

It all started to meet people in our local community and as a creative outlet to escape from a technical-focused world. But, as soon as I laid my hands on the pottery wheel, I fell straight down the rabbit hole. Now I love my business as if it were one of my children. You can always find me in the backyard studio, covered in the prettiest mud, doors wide open, sunshine and ocean air streaming in.

I get to create pottery and use ancient making techniques. Creating pieces that I hope will be around long after I’ve left this world. It’s quite a remarkable, grounding, and humbling process.

Since then, I’ve expanded into teaching pottery in my local community. I endeavour to create a space that people can come and let go, to use clay to connect with the earth, and express themselves freely.

This is my mark on the world.

Love, Nicole.
